Since the last major Apple media event at which Netflix announced that they would bring their popular streaming service to the iPhone/iPod Touch, many people have been waiting for this day. And, finally, we are here.

Netflix did not release a separate app for the iPad and iPhone, but rather a universal app that run on both devises. If you already have an iPad, and have Netflix installed, the same app will work on the iPhone. The only difference is, because of the small screen, the interface is slightly different.

The Netflix app is free with a paid monthly subscription to the service, the lowest being the $7.99 option. The free app works with your account, so that if you watch part of a movie on your computer, you can pick up right where you left off on your iPad, iPhone, or any other devise (Xbox 360, PS3, etc…) that Netflix supports.

Personally, I love the image and audio quality of the Netflix streaming service. It’s a great service for a very reasonable price. You can download the Netflix app here.

A Mercury Extreme Pro SSD for only $99?!! Tim can’t believe it, and kicks the show off with this incredible news. Is the tech press covering the Droid II antenna issues as fairly as they did the iPhone 4? Are Mac fans as passionate as they used to be? Is there a Apple backlash happening? These questions, plug Netflix VS Hulu, iPad cookbook, and much more.

David Biedny

David Biedny joins host Tim Robertson to talk about Adobe Creative Suite 5, in particular the new Photoshop. What is Content Aware Fill, and how well does it work? Photoshop CS5 is being billed at one of the most significant releases in the software’s history, which is saying something. And least we forget, this is also the twentieth anniversary of Photoshop, which David and Tim also discuss.

David also participates in our five question This or That!

Listener feedback opens the show, and most of it is about the iPad. Here is the link to the Jeff Jarvis Business Inside article that David from Milwaukee mentions in his feedback.

Tim Robertson look at the iPad. Highly touted by the press, can the latest from Apple, Inc. really live up to the hype? Is being called simply a “giant iPod Touch” a bad thing? Tim spends five hours with the iPad, and brings his first impressions to the show.
